I sent a request to Billy Pierce asking him to tell the story on a baseball about his memory of facing Satchel Paige in a great pitcher's dual and this is what I received:

"My parents and future wife were at the game. In about the 6th inning a Cleveland fan told my fiance stop worrying Satchel won't last much longer. Final Score 0-1. I lost in the 11th inning and Satchel finished the game."
