I sent a request to Vern Law asking him to write about his memories of playing with Roberto Clemente on a baseball and this is what I received:

"Roberto was one of a kind.  He had all the talent and skills to be what he became- "The Great One".  He had all the tools- Great speed, one of the best and accruate arms and great hitting skills."
"Roberto had a very wonderful smile [and] was easy to like him and fit right into our club.  We would never [have] been in a World Series and won a W.S. without him."
"Roberto was also a fun guy.  He like[d] to joke around and brought a lot of smiles and laughter to our team."
"Anyone who did what he did for baseball and for fans should be respected and honored"
