John Kibler
"First Base Umpire When Buckner Missed The Ball!"

I sent a request to John Kibler asking him to tell the story on a baseball about his involvement as the closest person on the field to witness Mookie Wilson's ball hit to Bill Buckner in the 1986 World Series and this is what I received:

"Everyone was mad at Buckner but not as mad as I was, because it meant that I would have to work Game 7 behind the plate."

If you are not familiar with the event, here is the detail from MLB.com.
