I sent a request to Roland Hemond asking him to tell the story on a baseball about his perspective of the Disco Demolition and this is what I received:

"Bill Veeck checked himself out [of] the hospital that morning as he was concerned that this promotion could be a fiasco. Bill was right again. It was a sellout but the fans misbehaved leading to a riot between..."
"...games of the doubleheader. It led to the 2nd game being forfeited. It is not often that an incident is talked about so vividly 30+ years later."
